Strategy, Risk, Teamwork, and lots of fun.

The game of Craps is remarkably similar to best business practices: Maximize gains, reduce losses, and contribute to the success of others. The CRAPS workshop was designed to integrate the rules of the most dynamic casino game on earth with what we experience every day in business. CRAPS introduces us to the game's particulars, and how a roll of the dice is not unlike navigating the complexities of a strategic business. The game is not rigged, not if we know the rules. CRAPS may be the most fun, most effective way to see ourselves and our teams through the lens of a complex game made easy. Are you ready to place your bets? Let us show you how.

Phase 1:

Each team will learn the rules of Craps: The best bets, the sucker bets, odds, and dice management. And then we play Craps, to ensure everyone is maximizing gains, reducing losses, helping others, and having fun.

Phase 2:

Team discussion takes over about the Craps world and the business world. We dive deep into team dynamics, risk, strategy, and knowing when to walk away from a bad deal. Analogies of life, business, and pleasure run deep in the most exciting casino game on earth.

What is DiSC?

The DiSC profile is a non-judgmental tool used for discussion of people's behavioral differences. If you participate in a BustOut DiSC program, you'll be asked to complete a series of questions that produce a detailed report about your personality and behavior. You'll also receive tips related to working with people of other styles.

The DiSC model provides a common language that people can use to better understand themselves and to adapt their behaviors with others — within a work team, a sales relationship, a leadership position, or other relationships.

DiSC profiles help you and your team:

  • Increase your self-knowledge: how you respond to conflict,
what motivates you, what causes you stress, and how you solve
    problems
  • Improve working relationships by recognizing the
    communication needs of team members
  • Facilitate better teamwork and teach productive conflict
  • Develop stronger sales skills by identifying and responding to
    customer styles
  • Manage more effectively by understanding the dispositions

Combine DiSC with other BustOut offerings to excel learning and performance.

Overview

We’ve taken common sense and common interest to create Leadership is Dead, a teaming event like nothing before it, based on research statistics, and data distilled from the best selling book, "Everything I Know About Business I Learned From The Grateful Dead.”

Learning Modules Include: Strategic Improvisation, Personal and Company Values, Superior Customer Service, Sharing Ideas and Content, Subtle Leadership, Sharing Power, and so much more.

Before the Show: Participants are provided with suggested readings and given adequate time to review printed material before the big show. Just like a Grateful Dead concert, every training event is unique.

Strike Up The Band: The Denver-based Grateful Dead tribute band Left Hand Monkey Wrench is ready to complete each training session with a full length Grateful Dead show. This addition to the Leadership is Dead training event is the perfect way to start a weekend, spice up a holiday party, or just have a blast with colleagues and friends.

Dizzy with Possibilities: Winner of numerous professional development awards, Certified Dale Carnegie trainer and Grateful dead musician, Eric west, creates a super-inspired, powerful, and memorable training event. Like an experience only had at a Grateful Dead show, Leadership is Dead is full of surprises to inspire the improvisational leader and business professional in all of us. Let us show you what we mean.
